A financial services initiative in Belgium is building a shared anti-money laundering platform for several banks, with a new data platform and connected data products at its core. As a Senior IT Solution Architect, you will define the solution architecture, including interoperability between analytical and operational environments, and support the teams implementing it.
The mission
The programme will establish a common AML capability across several Belgian banking organisations. Its architecture must bring together analytical and operational environments, support governed data products, and provide a platform that can evolve with enterprise, security and resilience requirements. The work covers both internally developed components and package solutions, with decisions aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy. The initial delivery phase is planned from September 2026 through March 2027, with architecture deliverables managed through quarterly agile planning (QAP).
You will own the solution view across the platform, from the overall blueprint to the incremental architecture files needed by delivery teams. Your work will translate business and product needs into data platform structures, integration choices and clear architectural decisions. You will work with product owners, scrum masters, analysts, infrastructure architects, security architects and tribe management, under the guidance of the tribe lead architect. The role combines architecture definition with practical support during implementation.
Your responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall solution blueprint, giving implementation teams a coherent target architecture for the AML platform.
- Produce incremental solution architecture files through quarterly agile planning (QAP), keeping architecture decisions aligned with product roadmaps and delivery commitments.
- Design data platforms and data products that provide reliable interoperability between analytical and operational environments.
- Evaluate internal development and package solution options against enterprise architecture strategy, including their security, resilience and delivery impact.
- Lead architectural alignment with product owners, scrum masters, analysts, infrastructure architects, security architects and tribe management, documenting decisions and their consequences.
- Identify improvement opportunities, take initiative on emerging obstacles, and support implementation teams as the platform moves from design into delivery.
