A Belgian public lottery operator is professionalising its quality assurance and test management model for a retail and mobile-first digital ecosystem that can reach peaks of up to 5,000 participations per minute. In its Brussels, Belgium operations, the Atlassian Xray Specialist will configure Xray Cloud in Jira Cloud, define durable governance and traceability standards, and prepare teams for progressive test automation.
The mission
The organisation combines 6,748 retail outlets with digital channels, with 76.2% of digital use taking place on mobile. The test management platform must support traceability from requirements and user stories through defects, test cases, executions and release reporting across this hybrid model. Xray Cloud is being established as the reference solution in Jira Cloud, with a scalable test management framework that can support future DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing initiatives.
You will assess existing QA and testing processes, translate needs from QA, development, product and business stakeholders into a target model, and establish how the platform should be governed. Your scope includes the target model for quality management, the structure of Test Cases, Test Executions, Test Plans, Test Sets and Test Environments, along with permissions, naming conventions, workflows, dashboards and quality KPIs. You will connect this model to the broader quality management roadmap through documentation, training and knowledge transfer.
Your responsibilities
- Assess current test management processes and produce a clear gap analysis with practical recommendations.
- Design the target Xray operating model, including governance, naming conventions, classifications, responsibilities and access rights.
- Configure Xray Cloud and Jira Cloud workflows, permissions, issue links and reporting views to deliver consistent test traceability.
- Establish standard dashboards and quality KPIs that connect requirements, user stories, bugs, test evidence and releases.
- Define a test automation integration strategy covering Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps and Jenkins, and establish standards for automated test results in Xray to support CI/CD.
- Enable adoption by training administrators and key users, coaching QA and project teams, and producing user and operational documentation.

Essential skills
- Apply confirmed hands-on expertise in Xray Cloud and strong working knowledge of Jira Cloud.
- Design scalable test management frameworks, governance models and standards for structured, maintainable QA processes.
- Structure Test Cases, Test Executions, Test Plans, Test Sets and Test Environments in a way that supports traceability and reporting.
- Apply ISTQB principles and sound quality assurance, testing and quality management practices.
- Understand Atlassian and Xray APIs, as well as integrations with test automation and CI/CD tooling.
- Work effectively in Agile and Scrum environments and communicate clearly with technical, product and business stakeholders.
- Analyse complex needs, challenge assumptions and recommend practical solutions aligned with long-term platform growth.
- Operate autonomously and provide pragmatic leadership through documentation, coaching and knowledge transfer.
