We're looking for a senior Azure Data Engineer / Data Scientist to take data engineering and machine learning work from existing models to production, using Azure Databricks, Spark and Power BI. You'll build and optimise pipelines, improve anomaly detection and indicator calculations, and deliver clear, performant reports.
What you'll do
- Build and optimise Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
- Productionise models and calculations with scheduling, monitoring and data quality checks.
- Take over existing models; validate, retrain and improve anomaly detection and indicators.
- Develop and tune Power BI semantic models, DAX measures, reports and deployments.
- Document data flows, model logic and practices for handover.
- Translate business needs into deliverables with engineers, scientists and stakeholders.
What you bring
- At least five years of hands-on experience across data science and data engineering.
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
- Strong Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Azure Storage, Key Vault and Azure DevOps skills.
- Strong Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake/Lakehouse, SQL and Python (pandas, scikit-learn).
- Power BI expertise in semantic/data modelling, DAX, visual design, performance and deployment.
- Knowledge of statistics and machine learning, especially statistical thresholds and Isolation Forest.
- Ability to understand and take ownership of code and models developed by others.
- Dutch and French at native level, English at C1.
