Job description
We are looking for a Backend Developer .NET to join an ongoing project building secure, scalable backend functionality. You will work with a modular architecture that combines shared libraries with application- and domain-specific components, making data available to front-end applications through well-defined APIs.
Your role
- Develop and maintain backend features in C# and ASP.NET Core, including reusable modules and application-specific functionality.
- Design and maintain REST APIs, data models and data processing with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
- Integrate internal and external APIs and turn external data into usable application models.
- Agree API contracts, validation and error handling with front-end developers.
- Write unit and integration tests, resolve technical issues and improve security, performance and code quality.
- Document code, APIs and technical decisions, and take part in code reviews and architecture discussions.
- Contribute to search with Elasticsearch, monitoring with Elastic APM, background tasks and deployment through GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes.
You have
- At least three years of experience developing .NET applications.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with Entity Framework or a comparable ORM.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Experience with automated unit testing.
- Experience with automated integration testing.
- At least three years of experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of software security.
- Knowledge of input validation.
- Awareness of OWASP principles.
- Strong knowledge of C#.
- Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core.
- Knowledge of modular architecture and separation of shared and domain-specific code.
- Certified training in .NET programming or equivalent programming experience.
- Dutch at C2 level.
