A national central bank in Luxembourg runs an on-premises BMC Helix ITSM platform on OpenShift to support incident, change, configuration and service request management. This senior platform administrator role covers BMC Helix, BMC Remedy and Jenkins-based deployment automation, with responsibility for the stability of the environments used by IT teams and service owners.
The mission
The platform is hosted in the bank’s private cloud environment and currently supports production, acceptance and development landscapes. The next phase includes extending the ITSM setup with problem, knowledge and service level management, so the platform must remain reliable while new modules are introduced. The organisation also relies on several custom developments that require support beyond the standard vendor maintenance model.
Your work sits at the intersection of platform operations, technical support and controlled change delivery. You will keep the service management stack available and secure, coordinate releases and upgrades, and make sure monitoring, backups, access control and restore testing are in place. The role also involves working with BMC, internal teams and other vendors when incidents or escalations need deeper technical analysis.
Your responsibilities
- Stabilise the BMC Helix platform across production, acceptance and development environments.
- Manage releases, patches, hotfixes and version migrations, with technical validation before deployment.
- Investigate complex incidents, perform root cause analysis and coordinate vendor escalations when needed.
- Monitor platform health, performance and service levels across servers, databases, middleware and integrations.
- Secure the environment through hardening, access rights management, backup controls and disaster recovery testing.
- Maintain technical documentation and support the lifecycle of integrations with LDAP, monitoring tools, CMDB platforms and REST APIs.

- Senior hands-on experience administering BMC Helix ITSM or BMC Remedy in an OpenShift-hosted environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Jenkins and deployment lifecycle management.

- Solid understanding of platform monitoring, performance tuning, backup and restore processes, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Practical experience with technical security controls, access management and compliance-oriented operations.
- Ability to work methodically, document changes clearly and coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
