A Belgian financial services organisation is strengthening its operational and transformation capabilities for leasing and collections activities. This junior Business Analyst role focuses on Miles, operational analysis, and translating business needs into functional and technical requirements across teams involved in process improvement, testing, reporting, and operational monitoring.
The mission
The role supports the governance and continuous improvement of collections operations, with a focus on efficiency, customer satisfaction, user experience, and cost avoidance. You will work across business and technical teams, including management, tribes, team leaders, and operational specialists, to understand how processes work and where they can be improved. The work combines leasing expertise with knowledge of Miles and contributes to operational transformation initiatives.
Your day-to-day scope covers the full path from business need to operational implementation. You will analyse data and workflows, define as-is and to-be requirements, support testing, and help prepare changes for production. You will also contribute to business-as-usual activities such as flow management, reporting, monitoring, and the management and resolution of operational incidents.
Your responsibilities
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements that support operational improvements.
- Analyse operational data and processes to identify efficiency gains, financial savings, and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Coordinate the validation of project scope, requirements, test results, and operational impacts with business and technical stakeholders.
- Improve the management and resolution of operational incidents by clarifying causes, follow-up actions, and expected outcomes.
- Manage operational flows and produce reporting and monitoring information that supports activity governance.
- Document changes and support the operational transition before production releases.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable operational analysis role.
- Apply practical knowledge of Miles in a business or operational context.
- Understand leasing processes and their impact on collections or related financial services operations.
- Analyse data and business processes, then structure findings into actionable recommendations.
- Communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders and work independently towards agreed objectives and deadlines.
- Approach testing, documentation, incident follow-up, and requirements management with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adapt to changing priorities, challenge existing processes constructively, and remain focused on internal and external customer satisfaction.
Preferred skills
- Experience with functional analysis, operational analysis, reporting, monitoring, flow management, or operational testing.
- Experience documenting changes and supporting production or operational transitions.
- Experience calculating or challenging expected savings and cost avoidance.
