A major Belgian financial institution is coordinating an instant payments product across business, IT and operations teams. This senior Business Analyst role covers conceptual modelling, workflow analysis and requirements definition from initial business needs through solution design, testing and go-live support, with direct input into SEPA and instant payments initiatives.
The mission
The instant payments product team is working on several strategic initiatives that require end-to-end analysis across local Cash Management, business lines, product architecture, IT squads and Operations. The work connects business objectives with IT solution design and follows work packages and features against a roadmap. It matters because changes in payment flows affect processing, operational procedures and customer-facing outcomes across the Belgian banking sector.
Working alongside the product owner and IT squads, you will own analysis for assigned work packages and features, clarify scope, and translate business needs into clear business requirements for IT and Operations. You will lead workshops with business and technical stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and follow topics through design and testing to go-live support. The role also includes coordination with stakeholders in Paris during two working visits each year.
Your responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of assigned work packages and features by keeping scope, dependencies and analysis aligned with the roadmap and business objectives.
- Translate business needs into structured business requirements and conceptual models that IT and Operations can use for solution design and testing.
- Lead workshops with Cash Management, business lines, product architects, IT squads and Operations to reach clear decisions and maintain stakeholder alignment.
- Evaluate workflow processes and stakeholder feedback, resolve open questions, and challenge assumptions before they affect delivery.
- Support the product owner and squads through testing, issue clarification, decision-making and preparation for go-live.
