A major banking organisation's investment and financial insurance division develops and maintains end-to-end services for clients using investment products, including custody processes that manage securities positions and events. This senior Business Analyst role supports new investment services and SRD 2 compliance, combining business analysis and Agile project management with collaboration across a Product Owner, custody squad, Sales, Legal and Compliance.
The mission
The division supports investment services for retail banking and private banking clients, covering the business and operational processes behind securities handling. The work connects investment products and services with regulatory compliance, process design and IT delivery. SRD 2 changes require structured impact analysis across business, legal, regulatory and functional areas, so development teams can implement compliant solutions.
Within the custody squad, you will own analysis topics and work with the Product Owner to convert ideation into features. Your day-to-day scope includes gathering and challenging stakeholder needs, defining requirements, refining solutions, estimating costs, building business cases and leading workshops. You will also support agile ceremonies, report status across the division and coordinate change activities through launch, go-to-market and IT release.
Your responsibilities
- Translate investment service, business and regulatory needs into clear functional requirements and features that development teams can implement.
- Assess the impact of SRD 2 changes across securities handling, processes, systems and stakeholder groups, documenting the resulting business and compliance requirements.
- Lead workshops with Sales, Legal, Compliance, the Product Owner and operational stakeholders to challenge needs and reach decisions.
- Refine solutions with the Product Owner, estimate costs and contribute business cases that support prioritisation.
- Prepare complete analysis and acceptance information for development teams, and contribute to agile ceremonies throughout delivery.
- Coordinate change activities from launch and go-to-market preparation through IT release, while reporting progress at different levels across the division.
