A public health data ecosystem is developing a structured interoperability and quality assurance approach around FHIR and KMEHR. As a Business Analyst focused on FHIR interoperability, you will coordinate FHIR interoperability testing with vendors and internal stakeholders, define test criteria and processes, and help technical colleagues establish an ITB-based FHIR test flow using Bruno and Postman.
The mission
The work covers the exchange of structured health information across vendors, business stakeholders and internal teams. New datatypes, implementation guides and service changes require analysis, test data and repeatable validation before they can be accepted into the wider ecosystem. The technical landscape includes FHIR, KMEHR, ITB, Jenkins, Jira and Confluence, with API testing handled through Bruno and Postman.
Your day-to-day scope combines business analysis, interop coordination and QA follow-up. You will plan and monitor activities in the Interop and QA Lab, support vendors with existing and new datatypes, and contribute a QA perspective to projects, releases and changes. You will also help the service desk maintain clear registration, classification, prioritisation, escalation and reporting for incidents and service requests.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate interop and QA activities, keeping planning, priorities and follow-up visible to vendors, technical colleagues and internal stakeholders.
- Design and document the FHIR interoperability test process, including an ITB-based FHIR test flow developed with technical colleagues.
- Analyse implementation guides and proposed datatypes, challenge unclear requirements, and translate findings into test criteria, test cases and test data.
- Organise and follow up FHIR interoperability testing with vendors, providing practical support on existing and new KMEHR and FHIR datatypes.
- Apply Bruno and Postman for API testing and use Jenkins, Jira and Confluence to support repeatable execution, traceability and reporting.
- Improve interop and QA procedures while supporting service desk registration, prioritisation, communication, escalation and stakeholder reporting.

Essential skills

- Understand FHIR, KMEHR, interoperability testing and the role of datatypes and implementation guides in healthcare information exchange.
- Create test criteria, test cases and test data from requirements and analysis, and identify gaps or ambiguity before testing starts.
- Perform API testing with Bruno and Postman, interpret results, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with ITB and Jenkins in a controlled QA flow, and maintain accurate documentation and follow-up in Jira and Confluence.
- Coordinate vendors and internal stakeholders with a structured, service-oriented approach, including clear escalation and progress reporting.
