An energy-sector organisation is transforming its logistics processes to control costs, improve stock levels and strengthen the link between operational and financial data. As a senior Business Analyst Odoo, you will work across SAP Logistique ECC 6, Odoo and reporting tools, focusing on inventory valuation, data quality and ERP change initiatives.
The mission
The organisation is improving logistics processes covering procurement, physical inventories, stock in transit, valuation and accounting close. Its application landscape includes SAP Logistique ECC 6, Odoo, advanced Excel and business intelligence tools. Over a 24-month transformation, the work will support more reliable data, better stock decisions, stronger internal controls and changes to ERP-enabled processes. Results will be used by logistics, finance, internal control and audit stakeholders.
As the senior functional analyst, you will coordinate closing analyses, reconcile logistics and financial data, investigate discrepancies and translate findings into corrective actions. You will also administer functional logistics applications, manage user access, resolve anomalies and support testing, validation and deployment of improvements. Your analysis will feed dashboards and KPIs for stock rotation, consumption, service levels, risks and valuation. You will work with business users during process or tool changes and contribute to ERP migration programmes. Because the role may involve confidential information, selection includes at least one recent managerial reference in line with ISO 27001.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics and accounting closes, delivering reconciliations, variance analyses and documentation for controls and audits.
- Improve inventory data quality by analysing physical count results and implementing corrections, transfers and regularisations across applications.
- Identify dormant, obsolete, low-turnover and otherwise at-risk stock, then recommend provisions and follow the agreed actions.
- Administer Excel and Odoo logistics applications, maintaining user rights, resolving incidents and supporting user training.
- Build reporting and visualisation dashboards in Power BI or equivalent tools, turning stock and financial data into usable performance indicators.
- Support ERP migration work through requirements analysis, testing, validation, go-live preparation, user adoption and knowledge transfer.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy sector, with hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain or stock management.
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience as a functional analyst in business or ERP environments.
- Demonstrate proven experience with SAP Logistique ECC 6 and its logistics processes.
- Understand inventory management, procurement, physical counts and financial stock valuation.
- Approach data and process issues analytically, communicate findings clearly and work independently with a results-oriented, proactive mindset.
Preferred skills
- Apply data analysis and process improvement techniques to inventory and procurement processes.
- Use advanced Excel, Power BI or equivalent reporting and data visualisation tools.
- Have contributed to ERP transformation or ERP migration programmes, including testing and deployment.
- Work with SQL, the Odoo ERP or Power Query.
