A financial institution in Belgium is building a shared platform for portals, websites and web content used by employees, clients and internal entities. The Senior Business Analyst Portals will help define the business requirements for new portals, connecting stakeholder needs with web technologies, information systems and the organisation’s Agile way of working.
The mission
The Portals cluster provides transversal capabilities that support a coherent user experience across the organisation while avoiding duplicated solutions. Its work covers the development of a common web platform, including portals for employees and clients, and requires alignment between business processes, UX design, architecture and delivery teams.
As Cluster Business Analyst, you will work with the Chief Product Owner, Product Owners, initiative owners and business stakeholders to shape the portals roadmap. You will analyse and challenge requirements, facilitate decisions, and translate business needs into structured requirements that can be understood and delivered by information systems teams.
Your responsibilities
- Shape business requirements for employee and client portals, ensuring they reflect stakeholder needs and the wider platform strategy.
- Connect business stakeholders, Product Owners, UX designers, architects and IS teams so that requirements remain clear and actionable throughout delivery.
- Lead workshops with stakeholder representatives and build agreement on processes, priorities, scope and expected outcomes.
- Model business concepts and processes using appropriate conceptual modelling techniques and methods.
- Structure the portals roadmap by proposing practical approaches, identifying dependencies and supporting informed prioritisation.
- Manage risks, quality considerations and issues, while maintaining accurate documentation and traceability.
Your profile
Essential skills
- At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 3 years as a BA for complex projects.
- Experience as a Business Analyst in web platform development, with a good understanding of web technologies and information systems concepts.
- Ability to analyse and document business processes, stakeholder needs and business models using conceptual modelling techniques and methods.
- Practical experience with an Agile way of working with Scrum, including collaboration with Product Owners and delivery teams.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to challenge requirements constructively and identify the broader organisational context.
- A structured, independent and quality-minded approach, supported by negotiation, persuasion, problem-solving and clear communication skills.
- Good expertise in MS Office for analysis, documentation and stakeholder communication.
Preferred skills
- Experience working in a financial institution or a comparable regulated environment.
- An Agile certification.
