A major Belgian bank’s investment tribe manages the investment products and services distributed through its retail and private banking channels. Based in Brussels, Belgium, the team is developing new investment services while maintaining securities handling processes and meeting regulatory compliance obligations. This senior business analyst role combines investment domain expertise, business analysis, and coordination of strategic planning, reporting, and delivery across the tribe.

The mission

The tribe owns the end-to-end offer for investment products and financial insurance, connecting product, sales, legal, compliance, and delivery teams. Its work covers retail banking, private banking, securities handling, and investment services, with regulatory requirements shaping the roadmap and release decisions. The role contributes to the annual MiFID Cartography report required by FSMA and to the bank’s planning and control cycle.

As a senior business analyst, you will maintain the tribe roadmap with the Tribe Product Owner, prepare quarterly and annual agile planning, and align initiatives and resource needs across clusters. You will also coordinate reporting, financial reviews, audit follow-up, compliance submissions, and stakeholder workshops, ensuring that delivery teams have clear priorities and reliable information.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain the Invest Tribe roadmap and align cluster initiatives with strategic priorities, regulatory constraints, and quarterly agile planning.
  • Coordinate the annual MiFID Cartography report and prepare FSMA pre-validation submission memos with product, legal, compliance, and squad stakeholders.
  • Lead the annual Strategic Agile Planning process, consolidating initiatives, dependencies, and resource requirements across tribes.
  • Analyse monthly financials and initiative budgets, while preparing the bi-monthly Risk Evaluation Meeting and following up on audit and compliance recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops and agile ceremonies, challenging business needs and translating them into structured delivery inputs.
  • Monitor delivery metrics in Rally and provide accurate, timely data reporting to support governance and decision-making.

Your profile

Essential skills

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience across business analysis, agile project management, Program Management Office, and elaborate data reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, investment products, and investment services.
  • Practical understanding of retail banking, private banking, and the related operating context.
  • Experience with securities handling or closely related investment processes.
  • Ability to lead workshops, analyse complex information, and align stakeholders from sales, legal, compliance, and delivery.
  • A structured, independent, and detail-oriented way of working, with sound negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to connect strategic planning with practical execution and challenge requirements constructively.

Preferred skills

  • Previous business experience in a banking or investment environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, MiFID Cartography reporting, or FSMA requirements.
  • Experience working with Rally or similar agile planning and reporting tools.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies.

Languages

  • Dutch: approximately CEFR C1 in the stronger working language, or CEFR B2 where it is the understood language.
  • French: approximately CEFR C1 in the stronger working language, or CEFR B2 where it is the understood language.
  • English: approximately CEFR C1, with strong written and spoken communication. English is the main team language.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in business sciences, or equivalent business experience.
