The mission
The applications support core business processes and are delivered through a web technology landscape that includes HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, React and WebAPI. Data services include Oracle and SQL Server, so delivery decisions need to account for both application and database dependencies. The organisation uses Agile/Scrum while retaining formal IT project management responsibilities, including planning, release coordination and compliance with architecture and operational constraints. Predictable delivery depends on keeping business priorities, technical work, network readiness and operations activities aligned.
You will manage the delivery flow from backlog discussion through sprint execution and release preparation. You will work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify and challenge requests, then coordinate developers, designers, network specialists and operations teams around an agreed plan. Your scope includes high-level schedules and back-plans, sprint planning, sprint reviews, Azure DevOps work items and release notes. You will also ensure that delivery follows architectural decisions and the constraints defined by the wider IT organisation.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of core business application changes, keeping scope, dependencies and agreed milestones visible.
- Facilitate sprint planning, sprint reviews and delivery follow-up so development work remains aligned with the backlog and project plan.
- Shape and maintain a delivery-ready backlog with Product Owners and Business Analysts, clarifying requirements and challenging requests when needed.
- Build high-level schedules and back-plans, then coordinate release preparation across development, network and operations teams.
- Manage Azure DevOps work items, including user stories, bugs, tasks and release notes, to provide reliable delivery traceability.
- Align implementation with UML and BPMN models, architectural decisions and constraints from the wider IT organisation.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring senior experience in IT project management and Scrum Master delivery within software development environments.
- Apply Agile/Scrum practices to run sprint planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement and delivery follow-up while maintaining agreed deadlines.
- Use Azure DevOps to manage user stories, bugs, tasks, release notes and release management activities.
- Understand web development with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, React and WebAPI well enough to assess dependencies and communicate with developers.
- Work with Oracle and SQL Server dependencies and coordinate effectively with network and IT operations teams.
- Read and interpret UML and BPMN diagrams, and independently produce high-level schedules and back-plans.
- Challenge business requests constructively, respect architectural decisions and communicate clearly across business and technical teams.
