A Walloon public-sector organisation is implementing its cybersecurity strategy through operational security projects that strengthen the protection of its information system. As a senior cybersecurity project manager, you will coordinate initiatives covering the SOC, IAM/PAM, infrastructure protection and security monitoring, while aligning delivery with NIS2 and ISO27001 requirements.
The mission
The Security function brings together cybersecurity experts, architects, operational security teams and external partners. Its portfolio includes Security Operations Center (SOC), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), identity and access management and privileged access management (IAM/PAM), HSM, network and cloud security, vulnerability management, incident response, endpoint and server protection, secrets and certificates, and resilience. The work covers both strategic studies and operational deployments, with regulatory requirements considered alongside business and organisational constraints.
You will join the project management team within the Security function and work under the functional coordination of a cybersecurity programme lead. You will own assigned projects from initial study through production, setting scope, objectives, planning, resources, budgets and deliverables. Your day-to-day work will connect technical experts, operational teams, business stakeholders and suppliers, while maintaining visibility of risks, dependencies, decisions and progress. Depending on priorities, the portfolio may include identity and access management projects, cloud and hybrid security projects, or other operational security initiatives.
Your responsibilities

- Coordinate cybersecurity experts, architects, operational teams, business stakeholders and suppliers to maintain alignment and enable timely decisions.
- Manage project risks, dependencies and mitigation plans, escalating issues that affect delivery, security or organisational objectives.
- Translate operational security needs into actionable project plans for SOC, IAM/PAM, infrastructure protection, monitoring and other security initiatives.
- Report progress, risks, decisions, budget and delivery status to governance bodies and project sponsors.
- Lead working meetings, workshops and steering committees, while supporting human change management and adoption of new security practices.
