A regional public-sector organisation in the Walloon Region is expanding the structured sharing of geographic and non-geographic data through DataLift, a platform covering documentation, modelling, quality validation and publication. As a Data Analyst, you will assess source datasets, define diffusion models and automate transformations with FME and Denodo, while preparing geographic data services in ArcGIS Pro or QGIS. The role combines data governance, geospatial information and direct collaboration with data owners, technical teams and users of shared data.
The mission
The data service manages the full lifecycle of shared datasets, from initial needs analysis to metadata, transformation, validation and ongoing maintenance. Its framework includes Open Data standards and European requirements such as INSPIRE and HVD, together with internal conventions managed through Metawal and DataLift. Source data, known as vPROD, is transformed into documented, controlled vDIFF versions that can be reused through web services, portals or APIs.
You will take responsibility for assigned data-sharing requests and guide the data owner through the process. Your scope covers the project plan, metadata sheet, data model, access conditions, technical specifications and validation of the final deliverables. You will build the automation that keeps content and structure aligned when source data is updated, then coordinate publication, reporting, contractual follow-up and user support. The work connects analytical decisions with concrete public-service access to reliable data across Wallonia.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse assigned vPROD datasets to assess their maturity, structure, documentation and readiness for controlled sharing.
- Design and document vDIFF models, including tables, attributes, descriptions, constraints, value lists, access conditions and technical specifications.
- Automate data transformations with FME workspaces and Denodo views so that shared datasets remain aligned with source updates.
- Validate data quality and technical compliance using DataLift, investigate errors and coordinate corrective actions with data owners.
- Publish geographic data services in ArcGIS Pro and non-geographic datasets through Denodo web services, according to user and platform requirements.
- Coordinate metadata, licensing, contracts, publication requests, progress reporting and support with data owners, Metawal stakeholders and technical teams.

- Apply European open data standards and directives, including INSPIRE and HVD, and assess compliance with governance rules.
- Control data quality with validation tools, investigate errors and establish traceable corrective actions.
- Manage databases through SQL queries, access constraints and controlled value lists.
- Work with ESRI ArcGIS Pro or QGIS to prepare and document geographic data services.
- Apply licences, access rights and distribution restrictions, and document decisions clearly.
- Communicate in a structured, assertive and service-oriented way with data owners, technical teams and end users.
