A Belgian insurance organisation is consolidating reporting for its Life Division, replacing manually assembled Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, and separate dashboards with a global automated Power BI dashboard. As a senior Data Automation Expert, you will analyse existing data flows, reproduce current BI reporting logic, and build automated refreshes that give management a consistent view of controls, budgets, KPIs, and operational data. The role combines Power BI, BI reporting, and MS Office expertise with structured communication to business users in Brussels, Belgium.
The mission
Today, the Life Division relies on information extracted manually from in-house tools and distributed through Excel, dashboards, and PowerPoint. The project will map how these sources and reports are constructed, then consolidate the relevant views in one Power BI environment. The initial delivery is expected to run for six months, subject to project evolution. The work is based in the Brussels-Capital Region and will make KPI and budget reporting easier to control, share, and maintain.
Your day-to-day scope will cover discovery, report design, data preparation, dashboard development, validation, and documentation. You will compare current outputs with the new Power BI reports, identify gaps, and implement automated extraction and refresh processes. You will coach a business expert so the division can maintain the dashboard independently, while sharing best practices for Power BI structure and use. Clear presentations to management and structured collaboration with business stakeholders are part of the role.
