A public utility organisation operates a Microsoft Azure data platform for finance, customer service, HR and regulatory reporting. The role designs Power BI solutions and maintains the data environment across Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure Databricks and related Microsoft services.
The mission
Business requirements become data solutions covering ETL, storage, multidimensional modelling, consumption, publication and forecasting. Sources include SAP ECC6 and SAP S/4HANA IS-U, alongside other databases and older technologies such as Software AG and WinDev.
The reporting landscape covers internal finance, customer-service activities, HR topics such as absence and workplace accidents, annual CSRD and Taxonomy reporting, and regulatory submissions. You also follow the run, operational maintenance and architectural improvements with the Data Management function.
Your responsibilities
- Design Power BI solutions from business reporting requirements.
- Build integrated reports, dashboards and alerts using Microsoft data services.
- Develop ETL pipelines across Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks and source systems.
- Apply data architecture and multidimensional modelling to data warehouse solutions.
- Maintain the Microsoft and Databricks data environment and follow operational run.
- Improve data architecture with the Data Management function.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior experience with Big Data, data architecture and data solution design.
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure data warehouse services.
- Experience with Databricks, ETL and Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
- Knowledge of M365 architecture and SQL, including partitioning.
- Experience with SAP ECC6, the SAP ECC table connector, SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA IS-U.
