A senior data visualisation specialist will support the reporting function of a major banking organisation, translating data from business and technical sources into dashboards and recurring reports for Finance, Risk and Customer Experience. The role combines data preparation for visualisation, dashboard design and stakeholder collaboration, using Tableau, SAP Business Objects and SAS Enterprise Guide within established data governance and security standards.
The mission
The team supports regulatory, strategic, tactical and operational reporting across the organisation. Its work connects business stakeholders with Data Engineers and other data teams, using data warehouses, data marts and reusable data assets instead of isolated reporting solutions. Reports must make complex information clear for decision-making while preserving traceability, consistency and appropriate access to sensitive banking data. This work supports both day-to-day reporting and the organisation's wider data strategy.
You will take reporting needs from initial discussion through prototype, data preparation, build, publication, maintenance and decommissioning. You will assemble data for visual exploration, shape a clear narrative and work with Data Engineers to industrialise the underlying structures for recurrent or critical reporting. You will also define practical visualisation standards, document solutions, train users and coach junior Data Visualisation Specialists. Work is organised through interactive Agile delivery, with regular contact across business, IT and data teams.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers to evolve governed data assets, improve automation and reduce reporting silos.
- Apply data governance, security rules and data strategy to ensure traceability, consistent access and compliant reporting.
- Coach junior specialists and increase adoption through documentation, user training and practical best-practice guidance.
