A federal public safety organisation is creating a secure service catalogue for authenticated legacy police data and integrating it with operational web applications. This full stack web developer role uses .NET 8, Angular and Clean Architecture, with a later opportunity to contribute to a case management platform based on microservices and a microfrontend approach.
The mission
The first phase turns existing data sources into reusable services for three types of applications: a dashboard identifying potential fraud indicators for companies, an internal solution for workforce capacity reporting and forecasting, and a web-based Case Management System supporting international police cooperation. The catalogue will provide controlled access to authentic legacy data while shielding consuming applications from source-specific interfaces. The later CMS platform uses containerised, highly available and scalable microservices and microfrontends. Development follows Agile delivery with Scrum.
You will begin by mapping the existing sources and proposing a technical approach, then implement the catalogue and its service interfaces. Your day-to-day scope covers backend services, Angular UI components, authentication, data modelling and automated testing. As the CMS work progresses, you will contribute to service-to-service and external-system communication, deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code. Your changes will move through Git branches, pull requests and code reviews within the project team.
Your responsibilities
- Establish a secure service catalogue that makes authenticated legacy police data reusable by operational applications.
- Deliver .NET 8 microservices and REST APIs, extending to gRPC or message-based integrations when required.
- Build Angular microfrontends with Module Federation that consume backend services and implement approved UX/UI designs.
- Protect frontend and backend access with OAuth and OpenID Connect, including O365 identity integration where applicable.
- Create PostgreSQL schemas with Entity Framework Core code first migrations, supported by unit tests and integration tests.
- Automate application and infrastructure delivery through GitLab CI/CD and Terraform, while maintaining Git workflows, pull requests and code reviews.
