The organisation develops and maintains business applications as part of a major transformation programme involving application hand-over, refactoring and greenfield development. As a medior functional analyst for business applications, you will connect stakeholders and delivery teams, using BPMN, UML and SQL to turn complex needs into functional solutions and testable user stories. The role sits in a department of around 90 people and combines customer journey analysis with end-to-end follow-up in an Agile/Scrum environment.
The mission
The 90-person department supports business applications through hand-over, refactoring and greenfield development. Its ecosystem includes J2EE, Java 8, Oracle, Hibernate, JUnit, Selenium, Maven, Git and Jira, so you need technical understanding of APIs, mappings, business models, batches and services while remaining focused on functional work. Core outputs include analysis documentation, software requirements specifications, data models, user stories, test plans and test cases within an Agile Scrum delivery model.
You will analyse existing processes and future non-functional needs, validate them with stakeholders, and translate them into functional analysis and application designs. You will work with business analysts, developers, project managers and coordinators to refine solutions, validate technical specifications and follow new functionalities through delivery. You will report status, support decisions, manage risks and maintain stakeholder relationships while supporting junior colleagues.
