A senior ICT Architect will define the target architecture for a vocational education and training network that operates five training centres and 24 campuses. The role translates a future IT and Data Target Operating Model into enterprise architecture decisions across application, integration, data and technology domains, with particular focus on application portfolio rationalizations, architecture governance and cloud strategy.
The mission
The organisation is creating a durable reference framework for future IT investments and transformation initiatives. The work covers the analysis of the existing application, integration and technology landscape, followed by the definition of a target architecture that supports the organisation's strategic direction. This framework will provide consistency across a distributed network of training centres and campuses. It will also support decisions on sourcing models, integration approaches and the future evolution of the IT landscape.
You will connect the Target Operating Model to practical architecture choices and make those choices understandable to business and technology stakeholders. Your scope includes business architecture, solution architecture, integration architecture and IT service architecture, while ensuring that individual decisions remain aligned with the wider enterprise architecture. You will also facilitate discussions on architecture principles and governance, and provide recommendations that can guide investment planning and technology roadmapping.
