A Flemish public transport organisation is modernising its ticketing systems by moving from traditional ticketing models to Account-Based Ticketing (ABT). This medior SAP BRIM expert role focuses on SAP BRIM and SAP Convergent Charging (CC), translating requirements into the SAP solutions that support account-based fares and charging.
The mission
The programme is part of a broader transformation of public transport ticketing systems in the Belgian public transport sector. It replaces traditional, product-centred ticketing processes with an account-based model in which traveller accounts, travel rights and charging rules are managed through connected systems. SAP BRIM provides the commercial billing and charging capabilities, while SAP Convergent Charging (CC) supports fare and charging logic. Your work will connect the ticketing domain with the organisation's SAP landscape.
You will work from business and functional requirements, assess their implications for SAP BRIM, and define an appropriate solution direction. Your day-to-day scope will include clarifying requirements, shaping charging and billing behaviour in SAP Convergent Charging (CC), and documenting decisions for delivery. You will contribute as a medior ICT expert, with at least three years of experience with the requested or a comparable technology and at least two years of SAP experience. The role supports the wider Account-Based Ticketing transformation by turning domain needs into clear SAP specifications.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse requirements for account-based ticketing and determine how SAP BRIM can support the intended business outcomes.
- Define SAP BRIM solution options, including charging logic and billing-related behaviours in SAP Convergent Charging (CC).
- Translate requirements into SAP solutions that can be reviewed and taken forward by delivery teams.
- Validate solution choices with business and technical stakeholders, resolving gaps between ticketing needs and SAP capabilities.
- Document solution decisions, assumptions and dependencies to support implementation and future changes.
Your profile
Essential skills
- SAP BRIM expertise: Apply SAP BRIM knowledge to charging, billing and ticketing use cases.
- SAP Convergent Charging: Work with SAP Convergent Charging (CC) and understand how charging rules support fare calculation.
- Relevant experience: Bring at least 3 years of experience with the requested technology or a comparable technology, including at least 2 years of SAP experience.
- Solution communication: Explain SAP solution options and decisions clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred skills
- Translate business and functional requirements into SAP solutions.
Languages
- Dutch: CEFR C2, as an alternative to English.

Education
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent experience with the relevant ICT technology.
