A Belgian energy distribution organisation is extending its API-led integration landscape on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in Belgium, supporting existing services and new integration projects. The senior MuleSoft integration analyst will combine functional analysis with API-led design for REST/SOAP services, translating process needs into maintainable integration flows and supporting them through delivery and operation.
The mission
Existing integrations form a shared MuleSoft landscape supporting critical energy processes. The work covers continuity of live services and new integrations, as well as refactoring, performance optimisation, testing, deployment, incident resolution and documentation. API-led architecture principles guide REST and SOAP interfaces, with the analyst working alongside functional teams, integration analysts and architects.
Your day-to-day scope runs from clarifying business and process requirements to defining integration behaviour and validating delivered flows. You will analyse needs, shape solutions on the Anypoint Platform and connect functional expectations with technical implementation. This work supports upcoming integration projects while improving the reliability and maintainability of existing services.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse business and process requirements to produce clear functional specifications for MuleSoft integrations.
- Define API-led integration solutions for REST/SOAP services and align them with platform architecture principles.
- Shape new integration solutions with functional teams, integration analysts and architects, ensuring critical processes are supported.
- Refactor and enhance existing integration flows to improve maintainability, performance and service continuity.
- Coordinate functional and integration testing, deployment readiness and documentation across the integration lifecycle.
- Investigate incidents and technical issues on the MuleSoft platform, driving timely resolution and stable operations.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring at least five years of experience as a functional analyst on MuleSoft integration projects.
- Use the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform confidently to analyse, specify and support integration solutions.
- Apply API-led design principles to REST/SOAP integrations, with practical experience in at least one full integration project.
- Translate business needs into precise requirements and communicate effectively with functional teams, analysts and architects.
- Provide structured troubleshooting and lifecycle support across testing, deployment, documentation and continuous improvement.
Preferred skills
- Contribute to integration architecture and solution design, including API design.
- Work with modelling tools and apply integration and functional testing methodologies.
- Hold MuleSoft Certified Developer (Level 1) certification.
- Use Postman and SoapUI for API validation and troubleshooting.
- Have worked as an integration lead or architect, or with Jira and the wider Atlassian stack.
Languages
- Dutch or French: fluent, CEFR C1 or above.
- The other national language: CEFR B2.
- English: fluent in written and spoken communication, CEFR C1 or above.
