This senior ECM developer role in Brussels focuses on custom development of SharePoint and O365 applications, including SharePoint data migration and exchange, Azure cloud architecture and Web API integrations. The work combines Enterprise Content Management expertise with Power Automate to keep information and workflows usable across connected applications.
The mission
The team supports several O365 applications for policy-project monitoring and internal management processes in a public administration. The landscape combines SharePoint sites and applications, Power Automate workflows, Web API integrations, and Azure services. Data must move reliably between SharePoint/O365 and other applications, giving the organisation a maintainable Enterprise Content Management platform.
As a senior SharePoint developer within this ECM role, you will own the evolution, adaptive maintenance, and support of these applications. Your scope covers architecture, custom development, data migration, testing, debugging, and controlled releases in the development environment. You will translate user needs into intuitive interfaces and connect technical decisions to Agile delivery, including a leading role where appropriate.
Your responsibilities
- Evolve the O365/SharePoint applications used for policy-project monitoring and internal management processes.
- Design and implement Azure cloud architecture, Power Automate workflows, and Web API integrations that connect the applications reliably.
- Lead SharePoint/O365 data migration and data exchange to and from connected applications, with controlled handling of information.
- Deliver custom sites and ECM applications on SharePoint/O365, from solution design through implementation and support.
- Translate user and process needs into intuitive interfaces, including applications that support financial processes.
- Guide Agile development priorities, coordinate feedback, and take a leading role when the delivery requires it.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring at least 5 years of senior-level experience with ECM concepts and technologies, especially O365 and SharePoint.
- Perform SharePoint/O365 data migration and data exchange to and from multiple applications.
- Design and implement Azure cloud architecture, Power Automate flows, and Web API integrations.
- Develop custom SharePoint/O365 sites and applications, from technical design to delivery.
- Apply functional and technical knowledge of an Enterprise Content Management system, such as Documentum, SharePoint, AEM, or Drupal.
- Bring professional experience in the Belgian public sector and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
Preferred skills
- Program, test, and debug applications with limited supervision.
- Realise an application on an ECM platform.
- Translate user needs into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Support financial processes through business applications.
- Use Agile development methods and take a leading role when needed.
- Bring at least two years of experience within the Flemish government.
