Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of full-stack Java web applications, delivering robust, maintainable solutions.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for the team, driving architecture decisions, code quality and operational stability.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical designs and deliver features through to production.
- Integrate and maintain geographic information system (GIS) components, spatial datasets and mapping capabilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver end-to-end features, mentor colleagues and build domain knowledge.
- Drive upgrades, performance improvements and production troubleshooting to keep services reliable.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and the JVM ecosystem, delivering backend services and APIs.
- Proven full-stack development capability, including modern JavaScript front-end work and RESTful integration.
- Practical experience with geographic information systems (GIS), spatial datasets and mapping tools.
- Demonstrable ability to create functional and technical designs and translate business needs into technical solutions (engineering mindset).
- Experience acting as a technical lead or senior contributor within a small, multidisciplinary development team.
