Role Overview
As the P1 - Product Owner (Senior) you will define and defend the product vision and roadmap for a leading public-sector organisation in the tourism space. You will translate strategic objectives into prioritised backlog items, coordinate cross-application processes, and ensure delivery through strong requirements analysis and pragmatic project management. This role accelerates your impact — you will shape outcomes that matter to many stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and champion the product vision and roadmap, aligning stakeholders and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Prioritise and manage the Product Backlog to maximise value delivery and guide Agile teams through sprints and releases.
- Set up and govern cross-stakeholder processes across multiple applications to reduce friction and improve time-to-market.
- Analyse, document and translate complex requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and implementation plans.
- Oversee project management facets — costs, timing, planning and estimates — to ensure reliable delivery and informed decision-making.
- Apply Scaled Agile Framework practices in collaboration with release and delivery leads to increase predictability and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Product Owner or senior product role, with a track record of owning product strategy and roadmaps.
- Certified Product Owner/Manager (e.g., PSPO, CSPO or equivalent) with formal Agile development training.
- Proven experience implementing and operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) at programme or portfolio level.
- Demonstrable experience establishing processes that coordinate multiple stakeholders and multiple applications.
- Strong capability in requirements analysis, backlog prioritisation and assessing stakeholder impact.
- Solid experience with project management responsibilities: cost management, scheduling, planning and estimation.
- Dutch language proficiency at CEFR C2 — able to lead workshops and stakeholder communication in Dutch.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Grasmarkt, Belgium.
