A major Belgian financial institution is managing and developing the processes and systems that support international payments for domestic markets. Within the International Payments Connect Domestic squad, the senior Process Engineer will use process modelling tools and flow charts to define end-to-end processes, improve efficiency and controls, and support testing and application changes for business and operational teams in Belgium.
The mission
The role sits in a Payments tribe where business operations, technology, customer needs and control requirements must be connected in one E2E view. A multidisciplinary Agile squad defines, builds, tests and implements parts of a product or service through prioritised sprints. This work supports consistent execution, simpler processes, customer satisfaction and compliance with legal, compliance and internal control expectations.
You will own the process lifecycle from analysing needs and modelling new or adjusted subprocesses to monitoring indicators and customer feedback after implementation. You will work with business, IT and operational partners, maintain practical documentation, coordinate testing and preparing demos, and provide user support after changes go live. You will estimate and organise your work within sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies, while contributing to the wider backlog when needed.
Your responsibilities
- Define and implement new business subprocesses in line with Business Architecture principles and the organisation's strategic objectives.
- Assess existing processes through indicators, customer complaints and operational feedback, then deliver improvements in customer satisfaction, efficiency and risk control.
- Model end-to-end flows and maintain clear documentation that standardises execution, supports incident resolution and enables controlled adjustments.
- Translate business needs into test scenarios, coordinate application testing and prepare demos that validate process, customer and control requirements.
- Guide change management with business, IT and operational stakeholders, supporting adoption, post-implementation questions and delivery of sprint commitments.
