A federal public-sector organisation delivers ICT and data services that support social protection and other public services. As a senior project leader in the public sector, you will take a business process initiative from implementation through delivery, using BPMN, Agile project management and structured requirements gathering to turn business needs into deliverables for a development team. The scope combines process analysis, stakeholder coordination and control of quality, deadlines and budget.
The mission
The project begins by documenting current-state and future-state business processes and aligning the future model with the selected technology. You will work within established standards and methodology, facilitate BPMN business process mapping, and prepare the documentation needed to define the project. BPMN gives business and technical participants a shared representation of how work should operate. The resulting solution must be implementable in the organisation's existing environment and compatible with its operating methods.
On a daily basis, you structure the development team's work, lead workshops, organise project meetings and capture decisions and requirements. You follow delivery against agreed scope, quality, timing and budget, while keeping stakeholders informed about progress, dependencies and issues. You propose options, explain their impact and advise across departments when a decision affects connected services. From discovery through implementation, you verify that the delivered solution matches the business-approved process and documented design.
