The HR function of a large organisation is implementing its Talent strategy 2030 and coordinating the projects required to support it. As a Senior Project Manager Business, you will oversee project governance, reporting, risk management, and process improvement across human resources initiatives, including work related to Learning & Development and Recruitment.
The mission
The Talent strategy 2030 provides the framework for a portfolio of Talent-related projects rather than a single implementation. Project governance, project monitoring and reporting, budget oversight, and formal change control are needed to keep these initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. This work gives HR leadership a consistent view of progress, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes.
You will coordinate the governance of all Talent-related projects and connect project delivery with the wider HR strategy. Your scope includes preparing and leading project boards, challenging assumptions and the status quo, monitoring performance, and ensuring that decisions are documented. You will work with project stakeholders and management to maintain direction, resolve issues, and support timely decisions.
Your responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project governance across the Talent strategy 2030 portfolio, clarifying decision rights, reporting lines, and follow-up practices.
- Lead project boards by preparing the required information, facilitating decisions, and ensuring that agreed actions are completed.
- Consolidate project monitoring and reporting to provide HR management with a clear view of progress, dependencies, performance, and delivery risks.
- Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating material concerns and coordinating the actions needed to keep projects on course.
- Control project budgets, documentation, and change control so that scope, costs, decisions, and impacts remain traceable.
- Improve processes and ways of working across Talent-related projects, while supporting performance management and stakeholder alignment.
