A Belgian banking organisation is implementing change across fraud prevention and predictive monitoring, with this role translating strategic priorities into operational delivery. As a Project Manager Business, you will lead change initiatives within banking, connecting Fraud & Investigations with IT, Risk, Compliance, and senior management. The work combines end-to-end project management with business analysis in a regulated financial environment.
The mission
The role supports the Head of Fraud & Investigations in rolling out a new operating model for fraud prevention and monitoring. You will work across transaction monitoring, case management, fraud typologies, and data-driven risk analysis, with technologies and methods that may include AI/ML, SAS, SQL, and fraud detection tools. The wider context includes AML, PSD2, PSR, and Belgian Economic Law requirements.
As a senior project manager in banking, you will turn strategic objectives into a defined scope, delivery plan, governance model, and measurable outcomes. You will coordinate teams through process transformation or system integration, track KPIs and risks, identify root causes, and provide senior management with clear reporting and recommendations for course correction.
Your responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end implementation of the new fraud operating model, from scope definition and planning through delivery, monitoring, and risk management.
- Translate fraud prevention objectives into actionable business requirements, prioritised initiatives, and practical implementation plans.
- Coordinate IT, Risk, Compliance, and operational teams to align dependencies, decisions, controls, and delivery priorities.
- Guide teams through organisational change by coaching stakeholders, addressing resistance, and supporting adoption of new processes and systems.
- Analyse monitoring results, KPIs, and root causes to identify improvement opportunities and support predictive monitoring decisions.
- Report progress, risks, trade-offs, and corrective actions to senior management using communication suited to both operational and executive audiences.
