A major financial institution in Brussels, Belgium, is strengthening its Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework so critical banking services remain available at acceptable predefined levels during major disruptions. The senior Project Manager Business will act as a business continuity project manager and Initiative Owner for BCM transformation, combining project management with process simplification and improvements to Business Recovery Plans.
The mission
The BCM & Continuous Improvement department maintains the organisation's business continuity management system (BCMS) and supports resilience across essential banking operations. Its scope includes crisis preparedness, Business Recovery Plans and processes, governance, and continuous improvement of BCM deliverables. The current portfolio focuses on the business continuity management framework, with process optimization and simplification initiatives that reduce administrative effort and improve the framework's maturity and usability. It connects business owners, continuity specialists and management stakeholders across the organisation.

You will work with Business Continuity Officers and management team members to define objectives, deliverables, milestones and success criteria, and to challenge existing practices where appropriate. You will coordinate activities, dependencies, risks and issues, prepare dashboards and management updates, and act as the primary contact for the projects in your scope. Change management and communication will be part of the delivery, ensuring that agreed improvements are understood and used in practice.
