A major financial institution in Belgium is coordinating delivery across an IT Tribe that works through multiple Agile squads. As a senior IT Project Manager, you will connect the squads with the IT Tribe Lead, using Scrum, Jira and Confluence to keep commitments, dependencies and governance visible. The role covers delivery management for IT projects where scope, timing, budget, quality and security all need to remain aligned.
The mission
The Tribe operates in the Belgian banking sector, where several squads contribute to a shared IT landscape and must follow internal security standards and policies. Its delivery model is based on Agile Scrum, with SAFe and Kanban knowledge relevant to planning, coordination and governance. This work gives the organisation a consistent view of progress and supports delivery against strategic priorities.
You will manage the coordination layer across the Tribe rather than the implementation of one individual application. On a daily basis, you will align with the IT Tribe Lead, track dependencies and risks, and help teams meet agreed commitments. You will turn delivery data into dashboards, KPIs and concise updates for steering committees and governance meetings. When impediments, competing priorities or cross-team issues affect progress, you will facilitate decisions and escalate them through the appropriate channels.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate delivery plans, milestones and dependencies across the Tribe's squads to support predictable outcomes.
- Drive adherence to agreed scope, deadlines, quality standards and budget in cooperation with technical teams.
- Remove impediments by clarifying ownership, facilitating decisions and escalating unresolved issues.
- Verify that project deliverables meet security standards and internal policies before governance approval.
- Produce delivery dashboards and KPIs that give the IT Tribe Lead an accurate view of progress, risk and commitments.
- Prepare and present progress reports for steering committees and governance meetings, enabling timely decisions.
