A public-sector organisation in Wallonia is digitising the full lifecycle of public procurement, from drafting and tendering through contract execution, using OMEGA on Odoo and the EXPRESSUM frontend for exchanges with awarded suppliers. As a functional application tester, you will design and execute end-to-end, integration and regression tests, using Jira, Confluence and Xray to document scenarios, defects and results.
The mission
OMEGA supports internal services throughout the public procurement process and forms part of SOOLID, a transversal platform built on Odoo. It includes functional modules for procurement and purchase orders, connects with regional and federal applications, and interfaces with SAP for budget monitoring and invoicing. The quality of these integrations is important because a single procurement workflow can span several applications and organisational teams.
Your scope combines functional application testing for public procurement with Odoo end-to-end regression testing. You will prepare complete test plans, verify that functional requirements work across the full process, coordinate user acceptance testing with business representatives, and report the results clearly. You will also help transfer testing knowledge to business teams so they can progressively manage their own validation activities, while working with test coordination, legal, training and operational stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- Build complete functional, integration and end-to-end test scenarios covering priority procurement workflows.
- Structure compliance, non-regression and, where relevant, integrity, load and performance test plans for OMEGA and its interfaces.
- Execute planned tests and user acceptance testing, documenting results and confirming whether requirements have been implemented correctly.
- Write and maintain test scenarios, execution evidence and reports in Jira, Confluence and Xray.
- Identify defects and non-conformities, provide clear evidence, and coordinate their follow-up with project and development teams.
- Coordinate business testers, anticipate testing needs for planned Odoo releases, and transfer practical testing methods to the teams involved.

Essential skills
- Bring medior-level experience in functional application testing, with the ability to work independently within a structured delivery process.
- Apply solid business and technical knowledge of public procurement procedures, including the lifecycle from preparation to execution.
- Manage functional, integration, compliance, end-to-end and non-regression testing activities, with an understanding of performance testing where required.
- Use Jira, Confluence and Xray to create test scenarios, track execution, document defects and report outcomes.
- Work confidently with Odoo-based applications and understand how interfaces with external and financial systems affect business processes.
- Apply test automation tools such as Katalon or RobotFramework when automation is appropriate.
- Communicate precisely in writing, coordinate business stakeholders proactively, and maintain a rigorous, organised and constructive approach to quality improvement.
