The Flemish public transport sector is modernising its ticketing model by moving from traditional ticketing to Account-Based Ticketing (ABT). This SAP BRIM Convergent Mediation expert role focuses on SAP BRIM CM and the mediation of ticketing data within the SAP landscape supporting that transition.
The mission
A public transport organisation is carrying out a strategic transformation of its ticketing systems. The programme moves from traditional ticketing models towards ABT, which changes how travel rights, customer accounts, and usage transactions are represented and processed. SAP BRIM Convergent Mediation (CM) forms part of the target SAP landscape, and the work sits within a broader set of SAP implementation projects. The role therefore connects a specialist SAP BRIM capability with a service used in everyday public transport in Flanders.
As a medior SAP BRIM CM expert, you will turn functional and technical requirements into solutions within SAP BRIM. Your day-to-day scope covers analysing incoming data, defining or reviewing mediation logic, and aligning the result with the target ticketing design. You will contribute to implementation decisions, document the chosen approach, and work with project stakeholders to keep the SAP solution consistent with the wider programme. The assignment is planned at approximately 600 hours and an 80% workload, giving you a defined role in the ongoing transformation.
Your responsibilities
- Translate ticketing requirements into SAP BRIM CM solutions that support the Account-Based Ticketing model and its processing flows.
- Analyse source data and business rules, then define mediation logic that produces reliable downstream results.
- Contribute to SAP implementation projects by assessing solution options, identifying impacts, and supporting sound technical decisions.
- Connect SAP BRIM CM design choices with the broader ticketing architecture and the needs of involved project stakeholders.
- Document requirements, mappings, configuration assumptions, and implementation decisions so that the solution can be maintained and extended.
- Review delivered functionality with the project team and help resolve gaps between requirements and the SAP solution.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring at least 3 years of experience in SAP implementation projects, with demonstrated involvement in solution delivery.
- Bring at least 3 years of experience in SAP BRIM projects.
- Demonstrate good practical knowledge of SAP BRIM Convergent Mediation (CM), supported by experience with SAP BRIM CM or a comparable technology.
- Work methodically with data flows, processing rules, solution documentation, and implementation decisions.
- Explain technical choices clearly and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
Preferred skills
- Experience translating requirements into SAP solutions, with a clear link between business needs and SAP BRIM design.
Languages
- Dutch or English at CEFR C2 level.
Education
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience with the relevant ICT technology.
