An Artificial Intelligence tribe is expanding its delivery capacity while transferring selected run and lifecycle-management activities to an offshore partner in India. The Senior Scrum Master will coordinate this transition within a cross-functional agile squad, helping the team balance operational continuity with delivery of its target AI vision. The role combines Scrum facilitation, agile reporting, and coaching, with Jira and related delivery tooling supporting progress follow-up.
The mission
The tribe is growing its workload and has identified existing AI assets whose run and lifecycle management can be handled through an outsourcing partnership. This transfer gives local teams more capacity to maintain current services while continuing implementation of the target vision. The squad includes analysis, development, and testing disciplines, and works with stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
Your day-to-day scope covers the Scrum operating rhythm, team coaching, and delivery transparency. You will facilitate ceremonies, support the Product Owner with backlog preparation, follow capacity and velocity, and help the team maintain its Definition of Done and Sprint Backlog. You will also manage risks and impediments and contribute to consistent practices through the tribe’s Scrum Master community and wider guild.
Your responsibilities
- Facilitate Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and additional working sessions so that each sprint ends with clear decisions and actionable follow-up.
- Coordinate the agile follow-up for run and lifecycle-management transfers, making dependencies between the squad, business stakeholders, and offshore partner visible.
- Coach the Project Team and stakeholders in agile methodology, encouraging self-organisation, open feedback, and incremental improvement.
- Remove impediments and protect the team from distractions, escalating unresolved risks and issues with the context needed for timely decisions.
- Support the Product Owner in maintaining a usable Product Backlog and help the team align its Sprint Backlog and Definition of Done with delivery objectives.
- Produce agile reporting on capacity, velocity, progress, risks, and the application of the agreed way of working.
