The mission
The Risk & Credits tribe supports lending products, services and applications for different customer segments. The In Life cluster covers the period from client contracting through ongoing credit management, including the applications and data used to manage the bank's credit portfolio. Its squads work in an Agile delivery model with Product Owners, Process Engineers, Functional Analysts, developers, architects, Data Managers, Legal, Compliance and Risk. The work links business change to application behaviour, operational processes and control requirements in Belgium's banking sector.
As a business analyst for Risk & Credits, you will gather and challenge needs, translate them into functional requirements and assess impacts across products, processes, applications and data. You will work with Product Owners and Initiative or Opus Owners to slice features into deliverable increments, identify dependencies and risks, and align scope with expected value and cost. You will analyse API-related needs, follow functional integration flows for credit products, and discuss application behaviour with IT stakeholders. Your input will continue through refinement, functional testing, User Acceptance Testing and release validation.
Your responsibilities
- Translate stakeholder needs into functional requirements, acceptance criteria and delivery-ready features.
- Assess impacts, dependencies, risks and cost implications across applications, processes and data.
- Shape feature slicing and refinement with Product Owners, Initiative or Opus Owners, architects and control functions.
- Clarify API behaviour with Functional Analysts, developers and architects, helping close functional incidents.
- Prepare feature test plans and support functional testing, User Acceptance Testing and release validation.
- Align internal and external stakeholders on scope, timing and expected outcomes.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring at least 3 years of relevant Business Analyst experience in the banking industry.
- Apply end-to-end knowledge of Risk & Credits and credit products.
- Analyse Java-based applications, APIs and process layer configuration, and discuss application behaviour with IT teams.
- Use Agile methodology across feature refinement, sprint ceremonies and delivery.
- Structure complex analysis and communicate, influence, negotiate and facilitate with stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively while remaining focused on customer and delivery expectations.
Preferred skills
- Lead requirements gathering and analysis and perform full impact analysis.
- Slice features and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Support functional testing and User Acceptance Testing.
Languages
- English: fluent, CEFR C1 or higher.
- Dutch, French or German: at least one fluent, CEFR C1 or higher, with passive understanding of another national language, CEFR B1 or higher.
