A major banking institution is standardising how business needs are translated into digital solutions across its change portfolio. This Senior Business Analyst (IT) role focuses on requirements management, conceptual modelling, workflow processes, and the use of AI capabilities to define solutions that can be designed, tested, and delivered consistently.
The mission
The work covers business, stakeholder, solution, and transition requirements across banking-related projects. You will analyse existing banking processes and workflow processes, design improved operating models, and help teams assess where AI capabilities can support future solutions. Your analysis will provide a common basis for product owners, architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders.
As an IT business analyst, you will manage the business analysis effort throughout the project lifecycle. You will define and document use cases, maintain requirements traceability, establish test conditions and expected results, and support reviews of designs, prototypes, and other requirements deliverables. You will also act as the link between the business community and internal or external technology delivery organisations.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and prioritisation of business, stakeholder, solution, and transition requirements.
- Model current and future business processes using appropriate conceptual modelling techniques and methods.
- Define detailed product requirements, use cases, application metrics, and performance objectives with project managers and architects.
- Translate requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Maintain requirements traceability to support impact analysis, coverage analysis, and controlled change throughout delivery.
- Coordinate reviews and handovers with product owners, designers, architects, subject matter experts, and technology delivery teams.
Your profile
Essential skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a business analyst, with experience in an IT delivery environment.
- Ability to apply conceptual modelling techniques and methods to clarify complex business and solution requirements.
- Proven capability in requirements management, including traceability, prioritisation, impact analysis, and lifecycle governance.
- Good understanding of IT delivery and testing, including product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Practical knowledge of AI capabilities and the ability to assess their relevance to business solutions.
- Good knowledge of MS Office for analysis, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Understanding of banking processes and workflow processes.
- Analytical and structured approach, with strong conceptual thinking, negotiation, persuasion, problem-solving, and attention to quality and detail.
- Ability to work independently, contribute to a team, remain open to change, and maintain focus on agreed outcomes.
Preferred skills
- Initial experience with Agentic AI and its potential use in business or IT processes.
