Job description
We are looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to design and build a data warehouse application and its supporting platform. The mission brings together data integration, reporting and cloud infrastructure, with scope to take a leading role in Agile development.
Your role
- Plan, design and build the data warehouse application and its components.
- Integrate platform components, data sources and applications through APIs and automated pipelines.
- Build data integration, reporting, database and metadata components.
- Set up and manage cloud environments, using Infrastructure as Code for reproducible deployments.
- Work with containers and clusters, and optimise platform and workload performance and resource consumption.
You have
- At least five years of experience in data warehouse modelling.
- Experience integrating platform components, data sources and applications through APIs and automated pipelines.
- Experience optimising the performance and resource consumption of platforms and workloads.
- Experience of project-based work and data warehouse modelling, or training in data warehouse modelling.
- Knowledge of and experience with containers, such as Docker.
- Knowledge of and experience in cluster management, using tools such as Kubernetes.
- At least eight years of experience setting up and managing cloud platforms for data and AI solutions, using platforms such as AWS.
- Experience planning, designing and building data warehouse applications with tools such as Cognos or DataStage.
- At least six years of experience with Infrastructure as Code for reproducible environment deployments, using tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Dutch at C2 level.
A plus
- Knowledge of and experience with data warehousing concepts, processes and architectures.
- Experience building ETL data integration components.
- Experience building BI reporting and analysis components.
- Experience building databases for data warehouse applications.
- Experience building metadata components for data warehouse applications.
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile development, including the ability to take a leading role.
