A national social security institution is developing ICT and data services that rely on clear business process analysis. This senior functional analyst role in public sector ICT applies business process analysis with BPMN and Agile/Scrum to describe current and future business processes, facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, and create functional documentation that implementation teams can use directly.
The mission
The work covers processes that cross multiple services and directions within a public-sector organisation. You will establish the as-is situation and the intended to-be process, making roles, decisions, dependencies and impacts explicit through BPMN, UML, use cases and user stories. These deliverables define the functional basis for solution design and implementation, while keeping the business intent visible throughout delivery.
Your day-to-day scope combines stakeholder analysis, facilitation and documentation. You will organise and lead meetings, listen to business stakeholders, assess information critically, and translate abstract concepts into practical solutions. As projects progress, you will collaborate with analysts and delivery teams, support testing, and check that the implemented solution matches the solution agreed with the business.
Your responsibilities
- Facilitate business workshops and meetings to build a shared understanding of processes, objectives and constraints.
- Map current and future business processes, identifying roles, decisions, hand-offs, dependencies and cross-functional impacts.
- Translate workshop findings into UML models, and create user stories and use cases for implementation.
- Align business stakeholders, analysts and implementation teams around clear, traceable requirements and agreed process outcomes.
- Verify during delivery and testing that the implemented solution remains consistent with the documented business solution.
- Communicate complex concepts through structured storytelling, clear documentation and targeted explanations for different audiences.
