A Belgian banking institution is updating KYC records for international corporate banking clients through a central support team in Brussels, Belgium. This Senior Operations Officer role in KYC operations focuses on corporate KYC recertification for legal entities with annual turnover above EUR 7.5 million. As the KYC Coordinator, you will apply the full KYC process including cross-border KYC requirements while working with clients, relationship managers, and compliance teams.
The mission
The central support team is not assigned to one geographical region and supports all regions according to portfolio needs. It updates KYC information for international corporate banking clients whose annual turnover exceeds EUR 7.5 million, combining document review, client follow-up, data quality, and regulatory controls. The work gives the organisation a consistent view of its legal entity clients and keeps files aligned with applicable legal and international requirements.
You will own a portfolio of KYC files from initial information analysis through completion and system encoding. You will identify missing evidence, request it from clients, check submissions for completeness, and record validated information in the relevant IT tools. You will coordinate with relationship managers and compliance departments when a file raises questions or requires a solution. You will report progress and potential delays to the team manager.
Your responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of corporate KYC recertification files and bring each file to a complete, validated status.
- Determine the information and supporting documents required for each client and legal entity.
- Secure timely client responses through clear follow-up in Dutch, French, or English.
- Validate file completeness and encode accurate KYC information in the relevant systems and IT tools.
- Resolve documentation or process issues with relationship managers and compliance departments.
- Report portfolio progress, risks, and potential delays to the team manager.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Apply the full KYC process including cross-border KYC requirements to corporate clients and legal entities, with at least 2 years of experience in KYC processes and tasks with corporate clients.
- Analyse client documentation and identify missing, inconsistent, or outdated information.
- Use MS Office confidently and work efficiently with various IT tools for tracking, review, and data encoding.
- Communicate clearly and diplomatically with clients, relationship managers, and compliance colleagues, while maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
- Work independently, remain flexible under pressure, solve practical issues, and maintain accuracy, precision, and quality across the portfolio.

- Understand finance and banking products and their relevance to corporate client relationships.
- Bring commercial experience in a client-facing or banking environment.
