A federal public service is modernising its business applications and developing new functionality. This medior full-stack developer role combines Angular and Spring Boot development, with a focus on security, maintainability, performance and long-term technical sustainability.

The mission:

You support existing development teams across different applications and business processes, following their needs and planning. The work includes modernising or rewriting existing features and developing new ones.

An HR data management platform consolidates HR data from multiple sources. Its modernisation covers the data model, integration flows and phased migration of existing applications. Security, data quality and consistency are central concerns, while the data warehouse remains focused on analysis and reporting.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop new applications and features with Angular 17+ and Spring Boot.
  • Modernise or rewrite existing functionality.
  • Improve application security, maintainability, performance and technical sustainability.
  • Update data models and integration flows.
  • Support phased migration of existing applications.
  • Work closely with existing development teams.

Your profile

Essential skills:

  • Five years of experience with Angular 9 or later.
  • Five years of experience with Spring, including Spring Boot.
  • Experience with .NET, Java, JavaScript, REST, SQL, CSS and HTML.

Languages:

  • French, B2.
  • English, B2.
  • Dutch, B2.

Working context

  • New applications use Angular 17+ and Spring Boot.
  • Existing applications and processes use Java EE, JSF, Access and manual work.
  • The role works alongside existing development teams.
