A public social protection organisation is updating its application landscape. As a junior Java developer, you will adapt existing Java applications to new standards, using Java 8 with a view towards Java 11.
The mission
You will bring existing applications into line with new technical standards and social security norms. The work covers applications built with Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate and GWT, with data stored in DB2 and PostgreSQL.
Your responsibilities
- Adapt existing Java applications to new technical standards.
- Update components built with Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate and GWT.
- Work with data in DB2 and PostgreSQL.
- Apply social security standards to application changes.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Two years' experience developing Java applications.
- Java 8 experience, with a view towards Java 11.
- Spring 5.3.X and Spring Boot 2.7.X.
- Hibernate 5.5.X and GWT 2.7.
- Gradle 5.x.
- DB2 and PostgreSQL.
Preferred skills
- Experience in social security is an advantage.
Languages
- French: B2.
- Dutch: B1.
- English: B1.
