As a Senior Solution Architect, you will set technical direction for secure and scalable services during a move towards Azure cloud-native platforms, while guiding teams working with .NET Core, C# / .NET, Blazor and related Microsoft technologies.

The organisation is transforming its application landscape into a cloud-native ecosystem based on Azure, containers, confidential computing and Infrastructure-as-Code. The architecture function establishes common standards for public health and social security services, with explicit attention to security, performance, availability and compliance. More than 250 ICT professionals contribute to over 50 active projects, so architectural decisions must remain consistent across new applications, third-party services and legacy platforms.
Your scope covers the full path from requirements to delivery, translating functional and technical requirements into solution architectures and selecting appropriate components from the Microsoft .NET stack. You will produce architecture documents, diagrams, standards and guidelines, then support delivery teams through technical leadership, coaching and mentoring. You will design integration patterns for REST API, WCF, external and legacy systems, and validate prototypes or proofs of concept. This connects project-level delivery with organisation-wide governance, software quality and technology adoption.
Your responsibilities
- Define secure and scalable solution architectures for public services that meet business needs and non-functional requirements.
- Select and standardise technologies across Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, C# / .NET 10, Blazor, MVC, Entity Framework and SQL.
- Design reliable integration approaches for REST API, WCF, third-party services, external platforms and legacy systems.
- Establish architecture governance, documentation, guidelines and quality controls that teams can apply consistently.
- Provide technical leadership through coaching and mentoring, helping development teams turn architectural decisions into maintainable software.
- Assess new technologies through prototypes and proofs of concept, including solutions related to Azure, containers, automation and advanced security.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior-level experience as a Solution Architect or Software Architect, from requirements analysis through implementation guidance.
- Ability to translate functional and technical requirements into robust solution architectures and clear technology decisions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, C# / .NET 10, MVC, Blazor and Entity Framework.
- Experience designing REST API and WCF integrations, SQL data access, and connections to third-party or legacy systems.
- Capability to document architectures through diagrams, standards, guidelines and other structured deliverables.
- Experience with TFS and Git in software delivery environments.
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, combined with analytical problem-solving and a strong focus on quality, security and compliance.
