A semi-public organisation responsible for the safe processing of radioactive waste and the decommissioning of nuclear installations is strengthening the team that connects business units with ICT. As a senior functional analyst in the nuclear sector, you will turn end-user needs into documented application solutions, using functional analysis, BPMN, UML and testing methodologies across administration, production and logistics processes.
The mission
The role supports an application landscape used across several business units, where reliability, data quality and controlled change are important to daily operations. You will work with Application Managers and Product Owners on application implementation, maintenance and renewal, while considering API design and event-driven architecture alongside service-oriented architecture and integration patterns. The work includes functional analysis for nuclear applications and the data structures and system settings needed to keep them usable and maintainable.
Your day-to-day scope starts with conversations with end users and ends with clear functional documentation, validated functionality and an agreed implementation path. You will analyse functional needs, model processes and information flows, coordinate requirements with project leads, architects and suppliers, and support developers or application specialists during delivery. When issues arise, you will help identify root causes, guide resolution and ensure that knowledge, tests and user documentation remain current.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse end-user needs through structured interviews and convert them into clear functional requirements and documented application solutions.
- Model business processes, data flows and functional scenarios using BPMN, UML and current analysis tools.
- Coordinate requirements with Application Managers, Product Owners, project leads, architects, developers and suppliers to support implementation across business units.
- Define test scenarios, support functional testing and validate that delivered functionality meets agreed business needs.
- Investigate application, data and integration issues, provide second-line support and coordinate preventive actions that protect service continuity.
- Maintain functional documentation, data structure information, inventories and user guidance, while proposing practical process and application improvements.

- Understand how to develop and maintain data structures, monitor data processes and protect the quality of business information.
- Understand API design, service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture and integration patterns based on services and events.
- Communicate findings clearly in writing and discussions, while working independently, accurately and pragmatically with Application Managers and Product Owners.
