A public-sector digital transformation programme is developing and maintaining interoperable, secure services that allow public administrations to exchange information across organisational boundaries. As a medior full-stack developer, you will work in a delivery team on Java 11 and 17, Spring Boot, Angular 17, REST APIs, and microservices, combining new development with the evolution of business-critical systems.
The mission
The programme covers business-critical applications and shared digital services, from new functionality to the modernization of existing platforms. The landscape includes internal and external integrations, service-oriented architecture, and components that must meet security, performance, interoperability, and quality standards. The core stack includes Java 11 and 17 with Spring Boot 2.x and 3, Spring, Angular 17, JPA, Oracle, SQL, JMS, Camunda, Docker, and WebLogic.
Your scope covers backend services, APIs, and Angular components, together with contributions to application architecture and microservice building blocks. You will work with technical leads and solution architects, participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical workshops, and follow delivery through testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, and reporting. Your output must integrate reliably with multiple systems and support secure digital services for public administrations.
Your responsibilities
- Deliver full-stack features with Java 11 and 17, Spring Boot, REST, JPA, and Angular 17, improving business functionality and maintainability.
- Extend REST APIs and service integrations using JMS, Camunda, and microservices patterns so internal and external systems can exchange information reliably.
- Contribute to application architecture and technical building blocks with technical leads and solution architects, keeping services scalable and interoperable.
- Apply test methodologies to validate functional behaviour, integration points, performance, and regression quality before release.
- Improve existing applications and platforms through SQL and Oracle analysis, Docker-based delivery, WebLogic deployments, monitoring, and technical documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, stakeholder meetings, and quality assurance activities, turning requirements into traceable delivery outcomes.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Bring 5-7 years of professional experience as a Java developer, including work in complex multi-system environments and large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Build and maintain services using Java 11 and 17, Spring, Spring Boot 2.x and 3, REST, JPA, and SQL.
- Develop Angular 17 components and connect them effectively to backend services and APIs.
- Apply application architecture and microservices principles, with practical knowledge of Camunda, JMS, Docker, and WebLogic.
- Work confidently with Oracle and relational data models, analysing queries and supporting reliable data exchange.
- Use test methodologies throughout development and integration, with a consistent focus on quality, security, performance, and interoperability.
- Analyse existing codebases quickly, communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, and work autonomously and proactively in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
