A federal public sector organisation is modernising several essential information tools that support benefits administration processes and continuity of public services. As a Senior IT Project Lead, you will lead the .NET 10 migration project from requirements gathering to implementation, using Agile project management and business process modelling with BPMN to align the future solution with operational needs.
The mission
The programme covers several core information tools used by the benefits service, with work spanning current-state analysis, target-process design and implementation of the selected .NET 10 solution. The project must preserve alignment between business processes, the existing technical environment and the operating methods of a national public administration. Delivery follows an established project methodology, with documented objectives for scope, quality, schedule and budget.
Your scope runs from defining needs to validating that the implemented product matches the process and solution agreed with the business. You will facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and meetings, then turn stakeholder input into BPMN models, decisions and implementation-ready deliverables. You will structure the development team's work and coordinate closely with the Product Owner and other project stakeholders. TFS will provide a practical basis for tracking work, decisions, dependencies and delivery progress.
Your responsibilities
- Define and maintain project objectives, scope, quality, schedule and budget through clear deliverables and structured governance.
- Map current and future business processes with BPMN, ensuring that the target design reflects operational requirements.
- Translate business needs and workshop outcomes into requirements, process documentation and implementation-ready specifications.
- Structure the development team's work and coordinate delivery with the Product Owner, business representatives and technical stakeholders.
- Validate throughout implementation that the delivered solution matches the agreed business process and remains compatible with the existing environment.
- Communicate progress, risks, issues and decisions clearly, while proposing solutions and explaining their impact to project stakeholders.
