Job description

We are looking for a Test Analyst to strengthen quality assurance on an ongoing backend project. Your Neurho mission will start with assessing test coverage and reducing testing debt, before moving into testing within an Agile Scrum team. The aim is to establish a QA process built around testing, reviews and monitoring, with better regression coverage and more testable services and batch processes.

Your role

  • Analyse existing test coverage, including automated tests, and document testing debt and gaps.
  • Develop a plan to close those gaps and improve testing efficiency.
  • Review functional requirements and assess the testability of services and batch processes. Define improvements, including any need for mocks, stubs and drivers.
  • Work with stakeholders through the Three Amigos approach to clarify the items under test.
  • Collaborate with test automation engineers to build an automated regression suite.
  • Investigate discrepancies between requirements, system behaviour and test cases, and propose improvements to functional analyses and the system.
  • Review analysis documents and user stories, design and execute test cases, interpret results and review automated tests within Scrum delivery.
  • Coordinate the test environment and the resources needed for testing.
  • Present and defend the test strategy with the project lead, test coordinator and management, keeping testing aligned with the wider project and quality strategy.
  • Maintain test reports and communicate progress on testing debt and unexpected system behaviour to management and stakeholders.
  • Coach developers on test automation and analysts on testability, working with the testing specialists to maintain consistent quality practices.

You have

  • At least five years of experience in application testing.
  • At least one year of experience with BPMN.
  • At least one year of experience with containers.
  • At least one year of experience with Eclipse.
  • At least five years of experience with HTML.
  • At least one year of experience with IntelliJ IDEA.
  • At least one year of experience with Java.
  • At least one year of experience with JavaScript.
  • At least one year of experience with Jenkins.
  • At least five years of experience with REST APIs.
  • At least five years of experience with Selenium.
  • At least five years of experience with SOAP.
  • At least one year of experience with SQL.
  • At least five years of experience with TestLink.
  • At least one year of experience with UML.
  • Dutch at C2 level.

A plus

  • Thorough knowledge of test methodologies, testing activities and processes.
  • An ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certificate.
  • Familiarity with Jira for issue and project management.
  • Familiarity with Confluence for collaborative documentation.
  • Familiarity with SoapUI for test automation.
  • Familiarity with REST Assured for test automation.
  • Familiarity with JUnit for test automation.
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot Test.
  • Familiarity with Postman for test automation.
  • Basic knowledge of continuous integration.
  • Basic knowledge of test-driven development (TDD).
  • Basic knowledge of Git or Subversion.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • French at C2 level.
