A financial organisation is strengthening validation of internal and financial reports produced by its proprietary Factoring IT ecosystem. In this senior Test Engineer Functional role, also referred to as a Test Reporting Engineer, you will combine functional testing, requirements management and data analysis in database-driven reporting systems to verify factoring transactions, client data and applicable controls.
The mission
The COO Office relies on these reports to support operational and financial processes. The underlying landscape contains complex business logic for factoring products, receivables, credit limits and regulatory requirements, so validation must connect each report result to source data and approved business rules. This is specialised reporting work rather than general application testing, with accuracy and traceability central to deployment decisions.
You will work between business stakeholders, IT and development teams, translating requirements, workflow processes and conceptual modelling techniques into expected results that can be tested. You will own the validation lifecycle from test strategy and design through execution, defect clarification and formal evidence for implementation. Your analysis will show whether reports represent the underlying transactions correctly and where corrections are needed before release.
Your responsibilities
- Define and execute comprehensive test scenarios for reports within the factoring IT ecosystem.
- Validate report calculations and data-driven outputs against transactions, client records, requirements and regulatory controls.
- Trace requirements, workflow processes and conceptual models to expected results, maintaining coverage across business rules and source data.
- Identify discrepancies between expected and actual outputs, explain defects clearly, and coordinate resolution with IT and development teams.
- Produce structured test plans, execution records and pass/fail evidence that support formal report approval and deployment.

- Work confidently in complex IT environments and database-driven reporting systems, analysing financial datasets for subtle inconsistencies.
