A major Belgian business bank is evolving the digital channels used by its enterprise customers, covering both web and mobile applications and their cloud-based backends. This senior test automation engineer role focuses on Java test automation with Selenium-Java, BDD frameworks, and quality assurance across the delivery lifecycle. The work is carried out from the organisation's Brussels headquarters in Belgium within a multidisciplinary Agile squad.
The mission
The enterprise channels tribe owns the end-to-end product responsibility for digital solutions used by business customers. Its squads combine business, analysis, development, and testing capabilities, with teams delivering frontend features for mobile applications alongside backend services in a cloud environment. The applications support services used by millions of clients, making reliable functional, non-functional, and performance testing an important part of delivery.
You will define and implement the automation approach for the squad, from test planning and data preparation through execution, defect analysis, and release validation. Your work will cover functional and non-functional testing for real and virtual devices, while helping developers identify the scenarios that provide the greatest automation value. You will also contribute to Agile ceremonies, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within Scrum delivery.
