Job description

We are looking for a WinDev Application Architect to safeguard the continuity and long-term maintainability of two business applications covering school administration and workplace prevention and protection. The mission combines technical auditing and architecture documentation with hands-on corrective maintenance and functional enhancements. Working closely with business teams, you will identify risks, make technical dependencies clear and define practical improvements.

Your role

  • Audit both applications and map their components, HFSQL database structures, interfaces, data flows, synchronisation and replication mechanisms, document generation, security and access rights.
  • Document operational and maintenance dependencies, including WinDev, WebDev and HFSQL licences, third-party components, server and workstation infrastructure, deployment, backup and recovery procedures, source code and version control.
  • Assess whether another technical team could take over maintenance and identify the prerequisites for that handover.
  • Analyse technical, operational and organisational risks, including data loss or corruption, technology dependencies, security and code maintainability. Produce a prioritised plan of corrective actions, preventive measures and modernisation recommendations.
  • Investigate incidents and support requests, diagnose defects and implement appropriate corrections.
  • Develop functional enhancements agreed with the business teams.
  • Carry out technical tests, support acceptance testing and deploy fixes and enhancements.
  • Produce usable architecture documentation, dependency inventories, interface maps and operating and maintenance procedures. Report regularly on maintenance activity and business requests.
  • Advise business leads and IT teams on technical decisions affecting the applications.

You have

  • At least ten years of experience as an Application Architect, with practice within the past three years.
  • At least ten years of experience in technical analysis, with use within the past year.
  • At least ten years of experience developing WinDev thick-client applications, with practice within the past year.
  • At least ten years of experience with PC Soft WinDev 2025, with use within the past year.
  • At least ten years of experience with HFSQL Classic, with use within the past year.
  • At least ten years of experience with HFSQL Client/Server, with use within the past year.
  • At least five years of experience with WinDev application generation, compilation and deployment, with practice within the past year.
  • At least five years of experience with Git, SVN or equivalent source-code version control tools, with use within the past year.
  • French at C2 level.
